Usha completed a 4 year BSc Physiotherapy in 1995 from university of East London and started her career in Newham General Hospital, London. She then moved to Thameside PCT in Thurrock based at Basildon and Thurrock Hospital where she remained until 2020. In this period, she had completed diploma is orthopaedic medicine, became an accredited Mc Kenzie Practitioner, acupuncture trained,completed her MSc in Physiotherapy. In 2003 she developed a role with Trauma and Orthopaedic as an ESP working alongside a shoulder surgeon. This gave her the opportunity to develop preassessment and post op clinic for the shoulder patients. In 2005, she was approached by the CCG to create a triaging service within the community. This expanded her skills and knowledge further as an operational and clinical lead.A Consultant Physiotherapy role was created to utilise her skills and drive to improve service provision. This led her to actively involve in national and local audit and research. Since 2020 she works in Thurrock Health Hub as an Advance Physiotherapy Practitioner seeing complex cases and providing teaching and training to the staff.
